This weekend was the first Bootcamp Retreat from 1-5, with 1 hr bootcamp, 1 hr yoga, and 1 hr nutrition talk. Sunday, I followed it up with my longest run ever, 6.13 miles (3 back-and-forths down Alden Lane). Need to build up the distance for the SF half marathon. Felt great! (using the run-walk-run method.)
Keep up the work, Karen, don't think you can sit back for days just because of the tough weekend!
The purpose of this blog is to hold me accountable for my eating and exercise habits so I will stop falling off the wagon! Maybe I'll share this link with others, and maybe I won't, but this is my space to write about my fitness/nutrition journey and battle.

exhaustion
I do bootcamp every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning from 5:30-6:30am. I get up at 0445 to do that. Last night I could not fall asleep, finally did around 2am I think. :/ Today's planned run turned into a nap after dropping off all the kids, I was so tired. After an hour nap, I did force myself to go for a walk, but you know, that doesn't do much. But it is January 19th, and it was 65 degrees outside! A beautiful day for a quiet walk with no kids enjoying the solitude. Well worth it.
Reading Jeff Galloway's "Half Marathon: You can do it" book -- wanted to run the Disneyland Half in September but that may get bounced by the potential move to Texas this summer. But intend to follow his schedule of runs on Tues/Thurs/Sunday in hopes of being trained for the SF half marathon in July with Tom!
Keep your head up, self, don't look back.
